Today when the lifestyles have changed altogether where there is negligible physical activity, sedentary life styles, fast foods, inorganic crops, vegetables, fruits, polluted water, polluted air, polluted minds, more and more tensions leading to reduced immunity, everybody is searching for ways and means to increase the immunity and bodily defense systems through acquiring knowledge about Nutritious and Balanced Diet. In the past nutrition and immunity was taken care naturally whereas know the malnutrition and attack on immunity starts from the day zero (I will call day zero instead of day one as the nutrition or immunity starts building up from the very conception in the mother’s womb). Now when with the changing role of women in the society more and more women are taking to hectic life due to their employment stresses and falling prey to bad habits like smoking and drinking, which was the exclusive domain of the men in man dominating societies. How the malnutrition starts :
  • Due to bad health of the mother with all toxicity entering her body through bad habits coupled with sedentary life styles, fast foods, inorganic crops, vegetables, fruits, polluted water, polluted air, polluted minds.
  • Due to busy schedules, the mothers can not breast feed their babies for 2-3 years as it used to be in the past. Mother’s breast milk is the best source of immunity for the future  generations and no nutrition, whatsoever, can replace mother’s feed.
  • Due to change in employment status from Government Sector to Private Sector almost all the rights of mothers, under the Maternity Benefit Act 1961 which provide for 2 additional breaks in addition to normal interval and/or rest, are neither explained to such mothers nor adhered to. Mothers, ignorant of such laws can neither ask for such breaks  and even if they ask for their rights they are advised to work as contractual employees. Government needs to make it compulsory for the public and private sector organizations to display the rights of the working women as a separate statue in the interest of coping with malnutrition and good National Health.
