Healthy Chicken Tikka with Oats Recipe
Ingredients
500 gram boneless chicken cut into 2-inch square pieces
1 green chillies, seeded
1 onion, sliced and separated into squares
fresh coriander
1-1/2 packets Saffola masala curry and pepper oats
For Marinade
1 teaspoon garam masala powder
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic
1/2 teaspoon onion
150 ml low- fat yogurt
1 tablespoon Saffola oil
1 tablespoon lime juice
How to make Healthy Chicken Tikka with Oats
Wash the chicken pieces and keep aside
Take a large bowl, mix all ingredients of marinade and make a thick paste
Add all chicken pieces in the marinade and coat them nicely
Cover with a cling film and keep it refrigerated for minimum one hour to soak in the flavours.
After an hour bring out the chicken
Spread oats on a platter, coat the marinated chicken pieces with these oats and thread them on skewers alternating with onion slices
Now preheat your oven to and switch the knob to grill setting and set the temperature at 200 C
Place these skewers on wire mesh placed in middle rack space, do not forget to place drip tray in the bottom.
It will not spoil the cavity of your oven and helps in easy maintenance
Chicken pieces start to turn golden brown in 10 minutes and let them grill 3 more minutes before switching off oven
Serve hot with green chutney and any healthy salad for a healthy meal
