How to burp a baby

Every mom should know this. Lift the baby up to your shoulder while supporting his head and neck. Rub baby’s back with a firm open hand to help release the trapped air. If you lift him higher and let his belly rest lightly against your shoulder, this can help press out the air inside. It seems the baby does not need to burp right now.

@shajupost, Sometimes your baby may awaken because of gas. Simply picking your little one up to burp might put him or her back to sleep. As your baby gets older, you shouldn’t worry if your child doesn’t burp during or after every feeding. Usually, it just means that your baby has learned to eat without swallowing excess air.
